About the Collins Center

Named after Gov. LeRoy Collins (served 1955-61), the nonprofit Collins Center for Public Policy was established in 1988 to seek out creative, nonpartisan solutions to Florida’s toughest issues. Our work exemplifies Governor Collins’ desire for objective analysis and his vision for a better Florida. Click here to learn more.

Accomplishments

During more than two decades of service, the Collins Center has found itself at the center of the state’s most pressing issues. After devastating hurricanes, we helped resolve disputes between homeowners and insurance companies. When flaws in the state’s election process were exposed in 2000, we managed a task force that brought sweeping reforms.
